Malvern and Hot Spring County are blessed with an abundance of churches in varied Christian denominations and non-denominations.

The Rockport United Methodist Church, located about 3 miles north of Downtown Malvern on Highway 270, is one of the oldest organized churches west of the Mississppi River, having been established in 1809. When President and Mrs. Franklin D. Roosevelt visited Malvern in 1936, they toured the historic church.

Many of Malvern's churches date back to the 1800's showing the area's deep rooted spiritual background.
